With her woven hat in case of a rain sprinkle, Carolyn Gallon of Spokane paints the scene of a clearing Bitterroot storm from a field at the Teller Wildlife Refuge. Gallon originally from North Wales, England, worked on the piece during the plein-air painting workshop at the American Academy of Women Artists event held over the weekend.
